Anyone know whether there will be a bee school for beginners this winter? If so, when will it be? Thanks.

Check ncbeekeepers.org, the state web site. There are listings of schools in surrounding counties. Henderson and McDowell county will start in late Jan. Haywood is planning a beginners school as well. Contact the County extension office for Haywood County. John Kristi in Madison county may be having a beginners school as well. Nothing has been planned for Buncombe.....as yet.

If any one is interested, McDowell county association will be having a beginner bee school the end of January, 2010. You can go to www.mcdowellhoneybees.org for more information or to register.
