2017 MBP Journeyman Certification is a program of our NC Beekeepers’ Association.  Journeyman is beyond “certified” and on the way to Master. You will be a great help to BCBC and the community if you achieve this!

Cost of the classes: $50 and will include the $29.95 book (The Beekeeper’s Handbook 4th Edition by Diana Sammataro)  Individual classes can be taken for $8 each. If you have the book, then the classes are $20. Payable upon arrival. Tuesday nights 6:30-8:30   Meeting Room at HomeGuage, 122 Lyman St, Asheville in the RiverArts District.

Students will have assignments to read the chapter that will be discussed and come with questions. Teachers will use instruction with books, posters, internet, slide shows, hands-on.

Special Guest: Lewis Cauble, our NCDA Bee inspector.

Joint discussion with the last meeting of the Beginner Certified beekeepers and the first meeting of Journeyman

“Varroa Mites: The life cycle of the mite, different kinds of test to determine mite count, and different treatments available to use and how treatments differ. What to expect if you decide not to treat.”
