Honey Extraction with Scott Davis of Garren Creek Apiaries

What to Expect:
We’ll be extracting honey from 8 supers, testing moisture content, decapping, and running the frames through extractors to harvest the honey. This is a hands-on learning opportunity open to all Buncombe County Beekeepers Club members.
Some of the honey will be used to support our club’s fundraising efforts, while a portion will be donated to Root Cause Farm as a token of appreciation for allowing us to house our hives on their property.
Highlights:
- Learn how to decap and harvest honey
- Participate in the honey extraction process
- Help extract the club’s honey (or bring your own frames to extract)
Important Notes:
- Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.
- This event is free for all club members.
