Ready to take your beekeeping to the next level? Our Journeyman Prep Course is designed for experienced beekeepers preparing for the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association (NCSBA) Journeyman certification.
This program builds on foundational knowledge and focuses on the advanced skills needed for success in the Master Beekeeper certification track. Participants will explore topics such as hive diseases, pest and Varroa mite management, deformed wing virus, queen rearing, and advanced hive management techniques. The course also includes study resources and presentations covering honey bee anatomy, pest control, and honey production to support certification readiness.
While BCBC also offers Bee School in the fall, which focuses on foundations and refreshers, this course is specifically designed for beekeepers progressing through the Master Beekeeper certification track and preparing for the Journeyman level.
