Join us on April 1st for an extraordinary evening with Greg Rogers!
At our upcoming Buncombe County Beekeepers Club meeting, we are thrilled to welcome Greg Rogers, the owner of Haw Creek Honey Company nestled in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. With an impressive forty-two years of beekeeping experience, twenty-five of which have been full-time, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our community. His three hundred-fifty to four-hundred hive operation, focused on honey production and apple pollination, showcases his dedication to sustainable beekeeping practices. Greg has shared his insights on honey bee management at various levels, from local to regional, and in 2023, he embarked on his first honey bee research project on oxalic acid-glycerin extended-release sponges in collaboration with Dr. David Tarpy at North Carolina State University. We are eagerly anticipating Greg’s presentation as he shares the results of this groundbreaking research at our BCBC meeting. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from one of the most experienced and knowledgeable beekeepers in our region!
