Buncombe County Beekeepers Picnic
September 15th from 1 – 4pm at Root Cause Farm (formally The Lords Acre). Members and family are all invited.
Bring: a generous side dish or two to share, a chair if you don’t want to sit on a bench, Port-O-John available
BCBC provides: Chicken BBQ and a Vegetarian Choice, drinks and dinnerware, tables, pop-up tents.
1:00-1:30 set up pop up tents, tables, We can sit under the hickory tree which is all shade on the benches they have, or at the picnic tables which are in full sun, or people can bring their own chair and sit anywhere
1:30-2:00 set up food
2:00- 3 eat and talk bee
3:00 Presentation of Honey we harvested to Gabe Whitlock, grounds manager; Tour of Garden
3:30 Tour of Apiary, with Marshall Mullins answering questions (not going in)
4:00 Clean up
This will also give everyone a chance to see the club’s apiary, as well as what the garden is about and its role in the community.
