Meet Our Speakers:
Cory Stevens
Hailing from Bloomfield, Missouri, Cory is a Master Beekeeper with a focus on Varroa Sensitive Hygiene (VSH) bees. He and his wife Jaime manage Stevens Bee Company, selecting resilient bees known as “Missouri Mite Hunters.” Cory’s extensive background in entomology and queen bee insemination makes him a pivotal figure in sustainable beekeeping.
Ashby Miller
Ashby, alongside his wife Cori, operates Ashby Farms in Burlington, NC, where they manage approximately 500 colonies. Known for their varroa-mite resistant stock, Ashby and Cori are also NCDA Certified Sourwood Honey Producers, contributing significantly to pollination services.
Greg Rogers
With over 42 years of beekeeping experience, Greg Rogers, owner of Haw Creek Honey Company, is a veteran in the field. His extensive operation in Asheville, NC, focuses on honey production and apple pollination. Greg has recently begun research on oxalic acid-glycerin sponges in collaboration with NC State University, aiming to advance sustainable beekeeping methods.
