Buncoumbe County Beekeepers will be having their 2023 Beginners Bee School to be held at the Mountain Horticultural Crop Research & Extension Center
455 Research Dr, Mills River, NC.
The dates are November 7th,9th and 11th
Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:45 to 8:45 and Saturday 8:30 to 4:30
There will be a follow up zoom to be announced in early January.
Cost is $90.00 and you can bring 2 other family members by paying $15.00 each to cover the cost of Saturday’s lunch.
Included with your registration fee you will receive the book Beekeeping Basics (published by Penn State Extension), a one-year membership in the Buncombe County Bee-keepers Club , as well as other course materials.
Lunch Saturday is included with your registration.
If you are bringing family members you will only get one book and other course materials.
You will learn about bees ,their life cycle, the super-organism. As well as hands on working with smokers,handling equipment, building a bear fence ,siting your apiary.
